Fifth graders, three documents about the Know Your State project coming up are posted on our class home page. You are welcome to look them over for a head start. We will talk about them in class, but this will give you an idea of the project.
Here’s where you blog your questions, responses, interesting tidbits, progress - sharing your passion and passion project with us. How about a few “Did you know?”s along the way!
This classroom blog will be used for conversations regarding our Passion Projects only. Later we may want to use it for our Discussion Board. This will serve as a test to see if we use it and or like it.
Because it is for our projects, please establish a nickname that has something to do with your project topic. For example, if you were learning about various Kings and Queens of England, you might establish the nickname “Queen” - although it is taken currently (by me!) Right behind the nickname you will write your first and last initials. Mine would be QueenDM, for example. (For our duplicate students, please do MMo, MMe or MMc. You know who you are!)
After you log on, please tell us what your topic is and what focus you are making. Include a couple of great questions you made or ideas you are wondering about. We might be interested in why you are interested, too! Let’s get passionate!
Then, you will add a “tag” - which will be a word representing your topic or subtopic. Separate multiple tags with commas.
